What we collect

• Wallet and payment-setup information needed to support payment methods and temporary payment credentials, including setup identifiers and card metadata associated with your account
• Reservation tracking information you choose to provide, such as source URLs, date ranges, party size, time windows, tracker status, and match results

Allowance Rewards browser extension

Allowance Rewards helps you compare the rewards on cards you already carry when you reach supported shopping or checkout pages. The extension stores the card product names you save locally in Chrome. To generate a recommendation, it sends those product names and limited merchant context to the Allowance Rewards API, including the merchant name or domain, a sanitized page URL, generic commerce signals, and, when displayed, an order total and currency.

We keep a completed recommendation in a shared cache for up to 24 hours so identical public research can be reused. We also process limited operational data, such as merchant domain, card count, model usage, and anonymous installation and tab identifiers, to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the extension.

Allowance Rewards does not collect card numbers, CVVs, bank logins, checkout form contents, cookies, names, addresses, email addresses, phone numbers, or browsing history. The extension does not require an Allowance account, sync saved cards across devices, or create an account history from the extension.

• To compare saved card products with a merchant purchase context and return an Allowance Rewards recommendation
• To detect misuse, reduce fraud and abuse, troubleshoot issues, and comply with law
• To operate, support, and improve the service

How we share information

We do not sell personal data. We may share information with service providers that help us operate the product, including services that support payments, wallet setup, temporary credentials, communications, authentication, cloud or infrastructure operations, and reservation tracking or related features. We may also share information when required by law, to protect users or the service, or in connection with a financing, merger, acquisition, or similar transaction.

Transactional email, SMS, and push notifications

If you provide contact information or register a device, you agree to receive transactional messages related to sign-in, verification, account security, allowance activity, and other service operations. These communications are not marketing.

For SMS, message frequency varies and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe from SMS and HELP for help. If you opt out of SMS, some account or activity alerts may no longer be available by text.

Waitlist submissions

If you join the waitlist on this website, your email address is submitted through a third-party form processor so we can contact you about access to Allowance.

Your choices and account updates

You can request access, correction, or deletion of certain account information by emailing support@useallowance.com, subject to legal, security, and operational limits. You can also update certain profile, billing, and notification settings from the product when those controls are available.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we may update the effective date on this page and provide additional notice through the service when appropriate.
