What does the merchant see?

The merchant sees the separate one-time card number, never the number on your Citi Double Cash card.

What if a merchant stores the number?

It cannot be used for another purchase after its first successful charge. If you never use it, it expires by default after 24 hours.

How long does a one-time card last?

By default, a one-time card expires 24 hours after you create it. If you use it first, it cannot be used again.
